Mary Trentadue
Mary Trentadue (she/her) is a parent, business owner, and book lover. New Westies will remember her eight years of service as a City Councillor, where she pushed on many fronts to increase daycare availability, recognizing how essential it is for working families. She’s just as well known among young families for her role in developing and launching New West’s first Neighbourhood House, where she now serves as interim executive director. Mary is a fierce advocate for others – whether it's by mentoring women running for public office, supporting parents navigating complex systems, or leading community projects like the Paint New West Beautiful murals.

Junior Chuang
When Junior Chuang (he/him) isn’t chasing his children, you’ll find him running with the Queen’s Park Running Club, or volunteering with one of the coastal long-distance trail races. Junior has spent 18 years in public service working with health data, at the national and provincial level. A lover of languages, he also excels at making technical information accessible to broader audiences so more people can take part in decision making. This helps him navigate government systems and advocate for funding that supports communities. As School Board Trustee, Junior wants to make it easier and safer for kids to get to school. It’s the reason he volunteers with the Walking School Bus for Qayqayt Elementary.
