Our community needs all transportation options that are accessible, dependable, and safe.
Actions:

Make transit more accessible for everyone by working to upgrade benches and shelters at bus stops and transit stations.

Continue bus speed and reliability investments to make your commute faster and more dependable.

Keep transit affordable by advocating for secure long-term public transit funding for the entire region.

Ensure that every child in New Westminster can safely walk or cycle to school.
- Redevelop and upgrade Columbia Station in collaboration with TransLink and the Province.
Rules of the Road
Support changes around New West that help to further establish a culture of road safety so that everyone shares the responsibility when it comes to moving around our communities.
Actions:
- Assure that road rules are enforced with an emphasis on the safety of vulnerable road users.

Continue to demand the Province develop clear regulations for e-mobility devices such as e-scooters.

Invest in red light and speed cameras on major thoroughfares.
- Keep commuter traffic to main roadways and enforce 30km/h speed limits on all residential roads.
Connecting our Neighbourhoods
Some of our neighbourhoods need extra support to ensure connectedness to other parts of the city.
Actions:

Continue advocating for better transit service across New Westminster, with particular attention to Queensborough.

Pursue long-term crossing solutions for Queensborough, including Provincial partnerships on a pedestrian footbridge.

Continue to implement the Queensborough Transportation plan, with a focus on improving and increasing sidewalk space on residential streets.

Complete the Queensborough perimeter trail and greenway network to connect all neighbourhoods to the riverfront.

Ensure that traffic flow improvements are prioritized in the design of new developments around 22nd Street Station.
- Demand dedicated school transportation for Queensborough students, in partnership with the School District and the Province.
